I decided that it was a nice day to do a bit of gardening (not something I usually do, I have to admit). As I was about to start, I stumbled upon a whole colony of snails! I had rush back into the house to grab the camera!

My camera doesn't have a super-macro mode, but I could get close enough with the regular macro mode. The good thing is that with 7 megapixels, you still have the freedom to digitally zoom in even closer and crop later. The closeup shots below (which you can see by clicking on the thumbnails below) are crops of the original files.
